SERIES D-9
VERTICAL PIVOT LIFT GATE
|
The cabinet is 2700mm long x 1200mm high x 610mm wide. The base
of the inside stucture is made of 100mm X 100mm tubular steel.
The verticals at the end and the horizontal bars on top will be
50mm x 50mm tubular steel. The covering is made of 1.6mm thick
satin steel sheets, On the inside, in recess with the cabinet,
there is a door for acces to the cylinder and hydraulic pump.
Inside the cabinet there is a 1000 watts heating strip. Another
120 volts heating strip is in the section of the hydraulic pump.
A 100 watts heating strip is installed in the hydraulic fluid
tank. There is a 500 watts heating strip on the hydraulic
cylinder itself. All those heating strips are thermostatically
controlled.
|
The system is composed of one hydraulic pump with a 1 1/2 HP
motor, voltage available from 120 to 600 volts. There is a
manometer indicating the pressure and filtration of the fluid; a
manometer indicating the fluid level in the tank and a manometer
indicating the fluid level in the tank and a manometer
indicating the constant pressure when the mechanism is in
operation. The heavy duty hydraulic hoses are 9.5mm in diameter.
Safety valves to prevent the barrier from falling in case of
hose breakage. One manual pump is installed in case of a
mechanical breakdown. The hydraulic fluid is synthetic.
|
The watertight EEMAC 4X control panel is mounted on top of the
cabinet at more or less 1200mm from the ground. Inside the
control panel ther is a 120 volts heating strip thermostatically
controlled; one 110 volts wall-plug; one service light with a
switch; contactors; timers to close the gate automaticallly and
a terminal for the wirings that go into the cabinet. The acces
door can be padlocked.
|
The horizontal top and bottom bars as well as the verticals at
the ends of the arm are made of 50 mm x 100 mm aluminum
rectangular H.S.S. The round vertical cross-bars are 25mm in
diameter spaced 100mm center to center. A galvanided steel
aircraft cable 4,8mm in diameter is inserted in the rectangular
H.S.S. The total assembly of the gate arm is aluminum welded.
There is no screws or any type of attachements in the design of
this gate. The structure is foam injected for added stiffness.
The arm will be 1830mm high with an extra 610mm made out of 3
rows of barbed wire. A "U"-shaped 3.2mm thick aluminum
adjustable flap is mounted underneath the gate arm with
stainless steel bolts and neoprene washers. A safety edge will
ge fixed underneath this flap. On both sides of the arm there
are four 12 volts DC signal red lights that light up at dusk and
go out at dawn automatically.
|
In front and on the top of the cabinet are installed 2 black
"Miller" safety edges that will reclose the gate upon hitting an
obstruction. A pneumatic AGDS safety edge is installed
underneath the flap on the arm that will lift the arm in the
open position upon hitting an obstruction.
|
At the end, on each side of the gate arm, one galvanized steel
post 100mm in diameter to be driven 1200mm into the ground X
3050mm above the ground distanced at 305mm with the top curved
at 30 degres angle. These two posts will lock the end of the
gate to prevent anybody from getting through. A 3.2mm thick
steel plate bracket is installed on the face of the posts. The
posts are buried into 25 Mpa cement. The gate should be bolted
onto a cement base of 3050mm long x 915mm wide with a depth of
1050mm with 50mm above the ground.
|
The inside and outside of the cabinet as well as the control
panel are painted. The color is at the architects choice.
|
The operation is made with an hydraulic cylinder installed in
front of the gate. The opening time is approximately 14 seconds.
Upon closing, the last 305mm are from slow speed to neutral gear
to prevent any jolts to the arm.
|
Loop detectors, Photocells, Set of red and green traffic lights;
green light: gate open.
red light: gate in movement or closed.
