SERIES 3000 - INSULATED ROLLING STEEL DOOR
|
The steel curtain will consist of Z275 galvanized steel
interlocking flat slats of 0,76 mm (22 gauge) thick as per
series 3000 manufactured by Dorion Doors Inc. Each slat will be
insulated with 19 mm (3/4") thick foam injected as per norm ASTM
C-518 for thermal resistance. The height of the slats will be 75
mm (3").
The end of alternate slats will be fitted with malleable
cast-iron endlocks to engage and lock the curtain into the
guides.
The bottom bar will consist of an extruded aluminum channel with
a "U"-shaped santoprene weatherstrip for intense cold.
|
The guides must be insulated with polyurethane and must be
composed of Z275 galvanized steel angles of the appropriate
thickness to form a slot of sufficient depth to retain the
curtain into the guides. The end brackets will be 44 W steel 6,4
mm (1/4") thick minimum.
|
The counterbalance mechanism will consist of helical torsion
springs of no less than 25,000 cycles, mounted on shaped
cast-iron anchors, supported by a solid cold roll shaft encased
within a black steel barrel schedule 40. All torsion springs
must be anchored to the same continuous shaft and held up in
place by the same adjusting wheel readily accessible.
|
The barrel must be lodged into a Z275 galvanized steel hood 0,91
mm (20 gauge) thick to fit the brackets with the intermediate
hood supports.
|
Extruded aluminum channel with cold resistant triple contact
santoprene weatherstrip installed on the guides.
A brush type weatherstrip will be installed at the lintel.
|
The finish standard of the slats and the hood will be galvanized
steel.
|
One coat of 26 microns epoxy primer.
