SERIES 103CP - 75 MM HEAVY DUTY INDUSTRIAL TRACKS
LINKBELT COUNTERWEIGHTS MECHANISM

The hardware will be series 103CP with counterweights
counterbalancing mechanism as manufactured by Dorion Doors Inc.
All hardware will be according to our shop drawings and
specifications described below.
|
The 75 mm vertical and horizontal tracks will be formed from 2.8
mm thick Z275 galvanized steel. The continuous steel angles will
be welded to the vertical tracks and inclined for a better tight
closing.
|
The continuous Z275 galvanized steel angle 11.43 cm x 3.81 cm x
2.8 mm thick will be roll-formed and shop welded to the vertical
tracks.
|
The end bearing plates will be in Z275 galvanized steel 6.4 mm
thick, protected by one coat of zinc primer, with pillow blocks
bolted to the plates.

ADJUSTABLE TOP CORNER BRACKETS:
|
The top corner brackets will be in galvanized steel 2.3 mm
thick, adjustable type, in order to adjust properly the top
section to the lintel. The top corner brackets will be doubled.
|
The rollers will be 75 mm in diameter. They will be in
galvanized steel with 10 ball bearings. The cold roll stem 1.11
mm in diameter will be 100 mm long. The rollers will have 177 mm
long.

The hinges will be in galvanized steel, 3 mm thick, numbered and
with a graduation to insure a tight fitting to the jambs. The
hinges will be doubled at both ends.

The bottom corner brackets will be in galvanized steel 2.7 mm
thick.
Safety bottom corner brackets are mandatory on all doors with
counterweights.
|
The counterweights will be bolted on special cast iron hinges
with necessary graduation to counterbalance the door. The weight
of the door will determine the number of link belt
counterweights needed.

The counterweights box will be in Z275 galvanized steel, 1.6 mm
thick, with a minimum height of 2440 mm. A small door in the
bottom portion of the box is designed to permit easy access to
the counterweights for repairs, if necessary.

The cable drums will be high pressure die cast aluminum alloy.
Two cable drums are linked to the door and two others to the
counterweights. The number of drums varies according to the
width and weight of the door.
|
The cables will be in galvanized steel, aircraft type, 7 x 19
construction, with a safety factor 7:1 to suit a 100,000 cycle
life. Two steel cables of 6.4 mm in diameter are linked to the
counterweights.
|
The shaft will be a solid cold roll 32 mm in diameter with key
way.
|
