This jackshaft type door operator is manufactured for standard
lift, hi-lift or vertical lift overhead doors as well as rolling
steel doors.
This unit has a universal mounting i.e. right or left side.
Each electric door operator will be C.S.A. approved;
manufactured especially for intensive use and must be pre-wired
color coded.
Reduction system: each unit uses a large V belt and heavy
pulleys for primary reduction with #50 roller chain and steel
sprockets for secondary reduction.
Limit switches: will be activated by screw type travelling cams.
The limit switches are easily adjustable without tools. The
motor can be removed without disturbing the limit switches
adjustment.
Overload relay: the operator is protected against overload and
under voltage. It can be reset automatically.
An easily adjustable electromechanical safety edge: can be
integrated to the motor. (optional).
Adjustable automatic friction clutch: protects the door and the
operator in case of an obstruction. The reversing contactor to
be heavy duty industrial type, Allan-Bradley or equivalent, with
mechanical interlock.
Chain hoist: each unit to be equipped with a disconnect device
to disengage the operator from the door and operate the chain
hoist from the floor by hand.
Three button control station: standard fully guarded momentary
contact to open, close or stop the door. The control circuit is
to be 24 volts A.C. for users' protection.
Instant reverse or safety edge: if the door meets an obstruction
during its downward travel, it will reverse immediately to its
open position or, if specified, can be wired to stop only
without reversing. This eliminates the pneumatic air switch, the
reelite, etc. (optional at an extra cost).
Self adjusting brake: solenoid operated drum brake system with
360° external compressing brake shoes to prevent the door from
coasting and for holding it in any position.
Single phase motors will have a capacitor start.
Finish: protected by one coat of rust-proof paint and blue
enamel.
Headroom required -405 mm (16") minimum
Backroom required -500 mm (20")
The door speed is approximately 300 mm per second.
All units are factory pre-wired, color-coded and tagged.
Wiring diagrams are enclosed with each operator.
Each operator is pre-run and tested before shipment.
